With mixed feelings, Write Out Loud is marking the gradual return to live-venue poetry by ending its ‘We’ll Meet Again’ feature, which helped to keep us going during the dark days of total pandemic lockdown with reminders of just what fun live poetry used to be. But we’ve enjoyed looking back through our files to find examples of great poetry nights out  – and thought readers might still appreciate a re-run of some poetry news stories that reawakened our interest second time around. Here’s the first, about our present prime minister, which begs the question: when did we last have such a cultured occupant in No 10?
