Daddy

I once knew a man
who is sorely missed.

Going out to sea he was,
but as he left that night;
he placed upon the forehead
of each daughter
a sweet and gentle kiss.

Overcome by terror
I screamed;"Don't go, please stay,

Morrigan

Looking from the darkness of my evergreens
I see the human race has moved beyond
this space to where destruction of the
wild and free is bound to their every
whim and every need.

Even in the people who say they hug

with all the garbage we leave behind
as we delude ourselves in modern
luxuries and technologies.

I always wanted to see if I
could survive that ...

Color of my skin

I was born this way,

as I am, so remember this;

I am not the one that
stole you from your lands
or took that which did not
belong to me. I am not the one who
brought you to this place
or destroyed your sacred space.
I am not the one that
raped your mothers
and daughters.
I am not the one that
killed your fathers,
brothers or sons.
I am not the one
that brought...
