Today I Turn Away
Today I turn away from disfigured words,
from closed doors
from narrow and windowless nights
from those who are dedicated to tearing joy to pieces
for the sake of pleasure;
from constriction and sacrifice,
from men who destroy with their bullets,
from the trampling of the spirit,
from pain and injustice
As of today, I will search for the forests of April,
for fireflies that light the ...
