Journey to a place that is the edge, edge of the ocean right here, right now.
Not sea, not land, edge of the ocean is where this is at,
on every landmass on planet earth, no exceptions.
Always in movement, in touch with the moon is the tide, on cliff, on beach.
A wetness attacking the dryness, now as it has before,
the story of a billion years before our eye...

the sea is rattling bones today
and the wind holds my ears to ransom
for want of a scarf and a hat
she is walking on the promenade
and wants no part of the play
so I am talking to the man on the pier
with the rods and ask
“what’s your game?“

I lie and let the waves wrap 'round my feet,
As midnight skies perform the second act,
Where black and blue so effortlessly meet
And force the waters cold around my back.
I feel the sand bequeath my buried toes;
To let the grit defy my sodden skin
And as the open door to my soul grows
