I apologise for copying your hair style but I have saved a fortune by not going to the Barbers. However, what I have relinquished on my head I have cultivated on my face.

Tommy, please check your last poem and switch all the 'whom's to 'who' as in 'he who'. I know they're the very devil, but lots of people may surf WOL this week. And check 'thrall';it's an old word.
I so hope you're not pissed. I always enjoy your work.

Being another Libra, Tommy. Or did I get it wrong?
Mon 13th Nov 2017 14:30
It had to be. I swear it 'had to be!'
It's the scope: often particular, but always with an eye to the general 'game'. Librans move like pieces on a chess board, with 360 degree vision, seeing innumerable ways to get from A to Z. And there's no such direction as 'backwards'.
I'm not sure whether that makes actual sense, but I've got a general idea what I mean. To be honest, it kind of sounds like the pith of a poem. I might pursue it.
BTW, I really like that 'Bacon' quote in your Bio.

I totally agree with the idea of art being free. Especially poetry. I feel that if you force someone to pay for something that art no longer becomes the artist's but rather the buyer's. And I don't write poetry for anyone else but me (not to say I don't want others to enjoy it, but you know what I mean)

You voted Corbyn and you quoted Bill Hicks. What's not to love?

Thank You Tommy for your comment on poem "Reflection". The more I revisit it...I realize that there is a lot going here with poem and photo meaning...conflation....not sure what to make of the shadow looking back at me...more to ponder! All was created pretty quickly and just thinking about the whole thing still...but Thank You!

Hi Tommy, I enjoyed a read of your poems today. Hope to read more soon. Please do visit The Chocolate Poetry Club one day! Paul

Thanks, once again, for the kind comments on 'Head In Hands' Tommy - I admit to be poorly read and hadn't heard of 'The Mezzanine' but having looked it up I can see where you're coming from with regards to the tone of this piece. I'm pleased it resonated with you - cheers mate

Well what can I say... From near relegation to winning a premier league title within 12 months. Fairytale ending. :)
Sun 1st May 2016 19:40
thanks for the comments on the 'Sun' *spits* piece Tommy - it's a worthless rag and should be shut down - and their petulant decision not to cover the hearing outcome should be the final nail in their sorry coffin

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on 'Sleep Peacefully at Last'. Much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my page. I'm new! But...do you actually like us foxes or are you just being polite lol

Hi Tommy, cheers for your comments on Scroungers. I like your profile piccie, and have to say that yes, I voted for Corbyn too.
Incidentally, I saw him in person yesterday giving a terrific speech at Harlow, pressing for all the important things for the majority, instead of the elite few. Power to the people!

Hi Tommy, thanks for the compliment :-)
The photo was taken in my daughter's garden last summer, so no, haven't been anywhere that interesting lately! Lol.

Thanks Tommy - my mind is indeed like an attic - full of useless junk with the odd treasure hidden in the cobwebs! X

Indeed! I'm sure we will

You are a man of many facets, sharply cut, like a fine diamond. Greetings of the Winter Solstice - the blessed promise of renewed warmth and light - to you and yours. Be safe. Be happy.

And long may it be so.

Your comeback is totally brilliant, utterly confusing, very cathartic. I shall treasure it.
The child in your photo is very beautiful, like the portraits of many mediaeval 'Mary's', all big, clear eyes and rosy lips in a pale face. It could be a boy, but same comment - no difference. And you don't look so bad yourself, of course.

The lady will put a sock in it! :)

You may Tommy. There is a similarity but you use your words so much better. I am not fishing for a counter compliment but credit where credit is due and it is a fact. My observation came from the two young lovers who sit, heads touching at my dining table pouring over their A level algebra. They had their first year results yesterday so I blogged in celebration! ;)

Thanks for your comments on down the pub. I think I prefer witherspoons as opposed to the alternative.

Hi Tommy, I am starting to wonder why I bothered coming back. The site is riddled with 'poets' who do nothing but critisize the work of other poets!!!
There is nothing I hate more than people who think they are better than everyone!
If I disappear again, you'll know why!

Blimey Tommy Illegal Immigrants wasn't that bad was it?. Sorry, probably inappropriate levity there. I am just about to change the title of this piece as I think Illegal Immigrant is too clumsy and easy.
Thanks for your comment.

Mon 8th Jun 2015 13:17
Hi Tommy. Thanks for the consideration but it was absolutely not necessary. I appreciate all comments, regardless. I only need to look at myself another 999 times to reach 2000 eh! xx

Evening Tommy. Thank you for your comments on Colour Me In, which I just managed to read before the comment disappeared! Technology eh!

Hi Tommy. Thanks for your comments on 'Repellent Words'. I am a huge fan of George Carlin so I know the passages you refer to. Honestly, I wasn't referencing him here although there may well be a subliminal inspiration. I loved his performance, always edgy and uncomprimising. Such a shame he's gone. Again, thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

What, exactly, has disappointed you? I've no idea. Have I been dozing?
Sun 31st May 2015 21:05
Ah yes, and how the seasons have changed me!
Hope you are well Tommy, glad to see you are still on WOL : )

aye up Tommy - sorry - been absent (without leave) last couple of weeks - so only just seen your comment on 'song of the wandering' - aye - as you say, similarities with migrant voyages for centuries - and they will end up, if they survive, being taken advantage off in western towns and cities - as sure as night follows ay. thanks for your comments
Thu 28th May 2015 19:33
Thank's for your comment's on 'Bank Holiday' much appreciated.
Being the son of a Preacher I just can't resist those biblical references. I should try harder to find alternatives I suppose, they just don't carry the same weight though.
Tue 26th May 2015 11:47
Thanks Tommy. That's spot on! Bloody technology.
Mon 25th May 2015 23:34
In reply to your comment on 'My God' Mr TC, no need to think too hard. The soul destroying experience of internet dating, the isolation of technology and being subjected, as a child, to a host of spaghetti westerns where 'hey blondie' was god.
