Hi Kealan.
Thanks for your comments on "A Day in the Life". I just came back from Gentral America, where I penned a sequel. I posted it on here a few days back. Complete antithesis !!
Take care, Andy

Hi Jeff
Thanks for your comments.
I live where the Glastonbury Festival takes place, and so I understand what you mean by the vivid picture you paint of the festival site. Maybe you're just 'trench' weary. Hope you decide to make it next year.
Take care

Hi Steve, glad you liked my poem 'Taken'...
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.
What ever do you mean by this?
'It's a bit durrrty though!'
Hmmm... Does this reveal something about what's in your mind?
Because... I could have been describing the thrill of a dance (dance)... ; )

Steve thank you for your kind comments on eleven/eleven. I agree with your view on reportage.
strangely I had these few words in my mind "we break our men" for over a week. It wasn't until I suddenly thought of the juxtaposition of poppies (as in Flanders and Afghanistan that the other words came.

always greatly appreciated.
I did read Andy N's (as you had suggested) and commented.
I really like your latest, but a bit confused by the ending, so I am reading it a few more times...

p.s. Is the typo in the title of your poem on purpose?

Thank you for the warm welcome Michel.
I do hope to furnish you with poetry that is 'divine' in the coming winter months.
I read Oblivion and the words explore the title well. A bit too gratuitous for my sensibilities but extraordinary and powerful idiom you have. 'blithe oblivion' 'lamenting crimson' 'demonic expiry'. I wondered if the variation on elipses length of five dots and four dots expressed any more than had you used large gaps to signify time passing? but that's a mystery I shall have to take to bed with me this evening as I'm sure it is too late for you to respond tonight.
I look forward to reading more from the Francois canon in due course.
love
Gregory S Nussbaum.

Good evening Winston,
Thank you for the welcome to Write Out Loud website.
I read a few of your poems and enjoyed them: For some reason I was reminded of Cathy Grindrod with some of your rhyme schemes. She is really good as I'm sure you'll agree. So I do hope you take that as a compliment.
I look forward to reading more of the Winston canon in the coming winter months.
love
Gregory S Nussbaum.

Hi Cynthia
When I said your comment was intriguing, this was because a couple of readers had misunderstood where the poem was coming from, which is why I added the explanation at the top.
I thought you had read it first time round, but had become better informed after seeing the explanation of who was speaking.
I think what I've just written makes sense, but I wouldn't bank on it. If it does - great, if it doesn't let me know, and I'll have another go.
xx Steve xx

Hi Dick..glad to be able to read some of your poetry (particularly 'young lady' here)...have been reading your words for many a moon now and was growing nicely accustomed to ignoring them...you know when you listen to a song over and over it all gets lost...still love the line, you paint your leather jacket it comes off in the rain, the more you cut your hair the more it grows back again...also you know the more i wash the dishes the higher they manage tostack themselves...Reality IS waiting for a bus. sorry to harp on about things you said ages ago - im happy to read new fresh stuff, Rachelx
