Do You Ever Also?

entry picture

Do you ever feel like you're the protagonist of a book?

Where the ending is constantly being rewritten and you're just waiting for the day that it's finally gone through all the edits and gets published?

But what happens if it's a novel that has 7 parts?

You might never even get to read the last written words or get to the final chapter of what you thought was your

"perfect ending."

Maybe it's the best that you don't know,

You know?

Do you ever close your eyes and just focus on the way your breathing sounds,

or how each breath you take feels?

Sometimes I do.

I find it to be...therapeutic.

It leads me to a place of peace because at that very moment I'm controlling my breathing,

But the one actually at work is my heart which I don't have any control over.

Do you,

ever,

Also,

Just look at the sky,

Doesn't matter the time of day,

But you look at the sky and you feel so grounded

Despite the fact that what you're focusing on is thousands of miles away that technically never ends,

You can feel the ground underneath your feet no matter what it is that you're standing on,

But you will never know what the sky actually feels like.

It can only be felt by what we see and the way it makes us feel through the imagination

We keep even after it was tormented by society.

Do you,

Ever,

Think,

"Huh, maybe the world also doesn't know what's going to happen next?"

Because I ask myself that too,

But my logic gets in the way and is like,

"Well, there's different time zones so technically some parts of the world knows what happens next,

Which means they technically live in the future,

Which MEANS..."

And then I fall into the abyss of my mind which never shuts up.

Do you,

Ever,

Wish,

That just for one second things could be good?

Everything in the world,

Good.

No bad.

Just for a second,

For every single human being.

Despite their opinions,

Or whether they wear crocs on the daily.

Do you?

I think as individuals,

We could each change the lives of hundreds.

But as a team,

We could change the world.

Maybe,

You can't reach or feel the sky.

But maybe I can.

Maybe,

I can't feel the ground beneath me,

But you can.

Let's say

You're the ground,

I'm the sky.

Individually we are two completely different places

And have separate environments,

And to each other we see opposites who could never

In a million years be on the same level of life.

But what happens when these opposites in particular attract?

What happens when the sky and ground meet?

Well,

It's what creates the view of the world.

It's what children draw,

The two little green humps that meet with the blue background,

Usually having a sunshine on the corner,

And possibly little black birds.

The beauty created when you see from afar the ground and the sky meeting,

Is indescribable.

Imagine the sunrise

Or the sunset without the sky

And ground meeting.

Imagine if they never touched.

No living organism would ever be able to experience the beauty

We all come to know and love.

The only time you don't see the ground and sky meet is when it's dark

And the moon is hiding.

But as long as there's a little light shining,

No matter how much you try to avoid the horizon,

As long as we live,

It isn't going anywhere.

Simply the best thing I’ve read in a long time. Quite refreshing! ?
