YOU ARE THE MUSIC - revised (currently being recorded)

A personal "take" on a show song.

You are the music in my heart

With each beat I feel a part

Of some romantic symphony

Written just for you and me

You are the prelude that brings joy

The magic touch that you employ

Never ever out of tune

And never will I be immune

And so I see - it's you and me

Meant to be in harmony

You are the melody in my mind

And with each note I seem to find

New meaning to this life I live

New ways to love - new ways to give

You are the song I've made my own

The theme for every dream I've known

As sweet as any sung by birds

But they will  never know the words

So say you see - it's you and me

Forever in close harmony

Po - from a lyricist's point of view (or "lyrist" as Ira Gershwin might
describe the term), the sequence is A/A/B - A/A/B.
The arrangement is the business of (literally) the music arranger.
Variety can be found in many songs according to the style employed.

Is this in 4:4 ?

What tempo is it.
What Key

So many of us here are song writers if only we knew it!

I intend to record much more this year as poetry is always better to hear than read, I feel.

Great lyrics M.C

M.C. Hmm! MC yourself go on you know you want to.

Mika, Don and Vautaw - many thanks for taking the trouble to comment.
Also - many thanks are due for the "likes".
It's always rewarding to know that pleasure has been given via the
written word.
