I Caint Hear Too Good

I caint hear too good

anymore

old age means

losing your senses

one by one

people say things

I just dont get or understand

i see their lips move

but i only catch a word

here and there

people may think i hear them

because i smile

and nod

if it's a joke

i laugh along with the rest

though i never got the joke

i don't wanna look foolish

the blessin in all this business is

i have more time to think

and write these here poems

out here on the porch

cause when you dont' hear too good

you have more time

to listen to yourself

and dream up stuff like this.
