Man Arrested

for impersonating a poet

and practicing poetry

without a license

the poet claimed he

did not know his poetry

was criminal

but authorities begged to differ

when questioned

he pled the 10th

which is twice as good as the 5th

but it did no good

since there were eye-witnesses

to his offensive poetry

who said they were reduced to tears

and would never listen

to poetry again

it is imperative women & children

and the free world

be protected

common decency and good taste

must prevail

with poetry this bad

no one is safe

and the entire literary establishment

is threatened

the poet appealed

to fellow poets and the general public

for moral and financial support

so far

no one has come forward.

Thankyou Keith, now don't feel bad
When I upset the WOLer cart
Writing edgy upset stuff
Laced with tar-tipped firey darts.....

The truth seldom attracts friends...A wise saying Keith

d.k.,

With this poem you have brought to light something I once heard about poets, that they can be the most effective voice of dissent. This I believe to be true. The poet challenges in the face of oppression, he speaks out on issues when others remain silent often out of self preservation. Poets need to possess the courage of their convictions and say what will make others uncomfortable. The poet you describe should receive the highest accolade for his work in bringing and uncovering the truth. The truth seldom attracts friends.

Thank you for this. Free Speech???

Gosh dk what a bad cad
A cad of the worsest type kind
To write such damn offensive poetry
And women and children not mind

Think I saw it on WOL
Must've got through the moral sieve.
Bastard.

The question: Is this poetry?
The answer: Incarceration!
