Kintsugi

entry picture

Precious china,
shattered
after the fall.

No longer valued,
or wanted at all.

Enter the ancient
mending art of
Kintsugi,

where the broken pieces
are filled with gold.

Alas, they are stronger
than before,
a sight to behold.

How befitting God
did the same thing for me.

Filled my shattered heart
with His love, mended me.
Kintsugi.

It’s stronger now.
withstands rejection,
apathy, love grown cold,
life full of toxic mold.

Despite it all,
my heart beats bold
with the patches of gold.

What a sight to behold.

Thank you Jason. I will check out your poem too. I find it fascinating how mending makes the broken pieces stronger. ❤

Really liked this Victoria, kintsugi is a really strong image of the broken made stronger, I wrote one about it a while back too. Loved it.
