Preamble
At times I feel my mind is 'strange'.
Why's my gramma strange-like
My write gone all like this?
A neural pathway mixup?
Producing hit or miss?
My mind is playing round
Messing with my verse
Why was I born so mixed up?
Bother, damn and curse
At least I can still laugh
At what my mind spills out
No way I'll ever chain it down
What are you, mind, about?
This is Don's mind speaking
You may think this off-range
To hear a mind speak, verbalize
Within a poem - strange
He said he'll never chain me down
Asks what am I about?
Edging sane/insanity?
We wonder, no, we doubt
He is on drugs to help me
Stay within a range
Acceptable to other minds
Unfettered, and still 'strange'
I've just allowed my mind three verse

No way I'll ever chain it down
Few drugs will problems fix up

I'm minded to wonder if in the mind
One way can suddenly be 2-way?
Or even if a 2-way route
Can turn into a through way?
But whatever path is taken
It seems to mean a new way
Of thinking and I'm sure you'll find
