Me Myself and I----A Mermaids Song

Jameson  Archers Bells

Gordon's  Captain Morgan  Smirnoff

Guinness  Tia Maria  Baileys

Pernod  Carlsberg and Strongbow

Days made up of these.

Sunny Days

Silk Cut days

Silk Cut nights

Sand between the toes

Blue water

white blue skies

music  disco

Breakfast on the Pier

Days  well made

tailored to suit

Cruising  Sailboats

Fishing  Crabbing

Surfing  Swimming

Cool waters in the afternoon

Barbecue on the beach

Lying in the bright shade

Looking up at the Heavens

As Paradise Silky Stars

Smile on the orchids

Fragrance of Nature

Where did I come from?

I came from the sea.

Where did I begin?

I began with me.

I took myself  off an island

And to an  Island came

No sunshine, only grey blackness

No smiling.  Only frowns

I came from a place of life

Arrived at decay

Poured water, nurtured

Saw my crop taken away.

When will I leave this nowhere

This misnomer for great

Arrive back at the beginning

Completing the circle of Fate?

Back to the origin

Of Me Myself and I

In the Eye of the Beholder.

A victor.

In the Sun.

Looking down from the Heavens

As Paradise Silky Stars

MMmm I see what you mean, about the booze !!!, There is a deeper meaning running beneath the surface of this though, a wistfulness for another place another time, really beautifully scripted too, should have had more attention than it got....

This is beautiful Beulah, there are some memorable lines in it. Not sure where all the drink fits in unless its to say this is the imaginings of you under the influence? Being a romantic I would take out all the references to drink and just call it The Mermaids Song.... totally captivating!
