Freedom of choice

Jim was a hardened criminal on his way to jail.

Had robbed many post offices belonging to the Royal Mail.

Jake was into tearing money machines out of banks,

Ruthlessly used agricultural machines built like tanks.

Both had been caught and were ready to be put away.

Jake got the shorter sentence for his affray.

Fate was to bring them together to share the same cell.

The choice of which bed to sleep in on them both fell.

Jim was the dominant one and planning ahead,

Made the decision as to who was having each bed.

"My sentence is longer I'll have to serve more,

You'll be out sooner ,best have the bed by the door."

Jim told me it was The Royal Mail, the deed is done now.A post mortem is not necessary. You can blame Jim who is locked up.The rhyme is his crime.

Hugh - Sorry to be pedantic but post offices are not owned by Royal Mail. Can you think of something to rhyme with Post Office Ltd?
