Don't Be Jealous Of My House

Don't Be Jealous Of My House

Look at me I am a snail,
I leave behind a slimey trail.

My shell is just like a house,
I hide inside from birds, and the odd mouse.

My friend the slug is just like me,
she likes to drink a cup of tea,
except she has nowhere to hide.
No house to retreat inside.

Don't be jealous of my house.
Quickly hide here comes a mouse.

It's poems like this that initially inspired me to write "Pressed Flowers". Coming on this site and seeing enjoyment, entertainment, and the occasional euphemism, I was able to see that my time was better suited for now in writing poems for kids and teens alike to relish reading once again instead of focusing all my energy in trying to keep the attention of or impress adults or peers.

Even if that wasn't your intention with this, it still came out with its own cloak. Sounded much like a Grimm fairy tale.?
