Fight

I love a good fight

Beating the living daylights out of someone

It's the best adrenaline rush ever

Yes, of course, I take a beating too

But I don't feel the pain

I feel alive .

It used to be my job.

Debt collection.

Drug money .

I hate drugs.

What they do to people.

But I loved that job

I'd have done it for free.

A fist fight is honest

It's a natural high

Not like that filthy crack cocaine

That took my kids and

Never gave them back.

Greedy dealers

I'd kill the bastards

You ask me if I ever did?

I'm saying nothing.

Reminded of the old joke.
Masochist: beat me, beat me!
Sadist: no!

Hazel,
I can relate to this poem because it insists on my being honest. I have always endeavoured to be a calm and collected person, in no way aggressive and abhoring violence. These commendable attributes have altered significantly with the years. I don´t enjoy a good fight but I am now fully prepared to speak out and in the strongest terms and have a good shouting match to let people know that I am bloody furious and get my point across. What is there to lose when one has reached 70?

You have made me feel quite stroppy.
Well done and well said
Thanks
Keith

Brian, don't worry, I'm not coming round.

This poem was inspired by a very interesting person I met through my work.

David, you are a tornado.
