I had a second chance
and blew it
thinking I had learnt from
the first time

but there is still so much to learn
foolish hubris
before the fall
before the snake bites

Not daring anymore
Not caring anymore

Tired 
No more fight
Scared
Taking flight

Too frightened to learn to fly again
it's killing me
it will kill me

Looking for that glance
that one look 
that show of affection
to spark that feeling again
self confidence will raise its head again
and maybe I can see above the clouds
and watch the angels flying
once more
