Imagination

Hurt comes

not from others

but from within

Place fact, logic

reason

upon their rightful

throne

Banish all else -

for there lies madness

Imagination

most lethal weapon of all

wrap it in silk

handle with care

lock in the deepest vault

throw away the key

A winner here, Joan. A wise, succinct and well-expressed idea. Have you ever considered putting ideas like this into 'form' poetry, like tanka or cinquain?

Without imagination how would we create such meaningful poetry?
Reality can be harsh but the imagination softens the brutality and no bad thing sometimes.

This is a sad one Joan. Unfortunately we dont always function on " fact logic reason" and imagination leads us down paths that are not always there.
