FIREFLY (Revised)

entry picture

Majestic flames

Yellow to ochreentry picture

Leaping sparks

Out of Hades

Aimless spark, Oh

Delightful ember

Of Lilliputian beauty

Fragrance akin to

Burned incense

On hot charcoal

Lovingly

Lying low, in state

On the Tuareg

Carpet of dreams

Kaleidoscopic flames enhance

Subtle shades

Shame I missed the original mate, great images here though, can feel the warmth radiating through, no need for the apology, just what we need with the autumn nights closing in, Jeff

Thanks Natalie.
I was trying to be clever and did need to apologise for the first draft. It was liked but my innermost concience disliked why I did it. Honesty is the best policy even to yourself.
Glad you like this version.

All previous comments were removed as an apology for my percieved hidden joviality which I now realise had the potential to hurt and offend. Thank you for your comments. I have now revised the poem and hope you can feel the spirit of it in a proper manner.
