As it flows

entry picture

As the river flows,

This life source,

In  torrents swelled  to destructive force.

New paths gouged, etched against it's might,

Cleansing the deadwood, new life blooms in the light.

Debris swirls, caught in it's girth

reclaimed, broken, clambering for earth.

An emotional torrent of change.

As the river flows,

This life source.

In meandering paths etched by torrential flows,

Twisting, turning, tasting every turn.

Till stillness comes in pools black as night,

Serenity, calm meandering flow .

Islands of life emerge  from it's grip.

As whirlpools entice the eye, amist this bliss.

A reminder of turmoil in it's destructive flow,

In an emotional torrent of change.

Great poem! After a walk in the countryside I often get pen and paper! Take care, Tony.
