Phoenix FM Seeks Calderdale Writers!

entry picture
Writers are wanted, as guests, for the Wednesday afternoon (2-4pm) Tea For Two show, presented by Sally Woods.  Sally works for Calderdale Libraries and has a keen interest in creative writing.

Writers should be based in or near Calderdale, or whose work has some bearing on Calderdale.  Please get in touch if you are willing, and feel free to forward this to anyone you know who might be interested. The Radio station are keen to hear from writers of poetry or prose - or, for this and other programmes, anyone who would like to talk about anything of local relevance!

The radio station has talk-based shows every weekday, morning and afternoon.  Guests stay for as long as they like, and talk in bursts of five minutes or so, punctuated by music (which the guest may choose) and adverts (though it is a not-for-profit community station, they take adverts as a way of funding their work).  There are no surprise or trick questions; you can, if you wish, plan the whole interview yourself; and the presenter can modify or create the plan as the show goes along whilst the songs are on.  So, in short, it's not scary and there's tea and coffee on tap.
