An Ode To Skyrim

Well as usuall I have been empowered by a computer game which is influencing my day to day life in ways that only a stupidly in depth game like Skyrim can do.

So with this fresh inspiration I have penned a little something about my other life in the digital realm.

 Enjoy.

An Ode To Skyrim

Frozen wastes on hallowed ground

Captured and in shackles bound

Sound of horse and cart in ear

My destiny about to rear

It's ugly head in time of fear

Scream from above and sound of wings

Once heard before when bards did sing

As scaled talons pierce the ground

A deafening roar, a striking sound

For life you fight with hammers pound

Escaped and then to freedom flee

What path to take and who to see

Imperial guard with warning say

Stoarmcloak rebels who wish to pray

To ancient gods, Talos and Arkay

Companions met and trolls are slain

Greybeards atop of mountains stay

As giants herd their mammoth friends

Frostbite spiders guard dead ends

Dragonborns hands do lightning send

An epic tale revealed

Sides chosen

and eyes peeled

how will it end?

In bards song

And books of teal

Through word of mouth

A legend torn

What will become of Dragonborn?

Hahaa - skyrim :D A friend of mine has just given up his voluntary role as moderator of a huge site in order to devote more time to this bloody 'game'!! More addictive than WoW? Possibly!

Enjoyed this, Matt. I don't know the game (I'm not much of a gamer, I'm afraid) but I enjoyed the poetic ride.
If I was being picky I'm less enthusiastic about "did" and "do" in the 2nd and 4th stanzas - they always seem like stocking fillers to me.
