I believe all my poems to be refined,
And to have an impact upon our mind.
And although they're deep and thoroughly planned,
Each one is quite easy to understand.

They may be about people or about things,
And aimed towards beggars right up to kings.
And they show us how to appreciate life,
And hold happiness whilst dealing with strife.

They may be about thoughts or our emotions.
And they are calm -  without hint of commotion.
They include despair but they also have hope,
And in our troubles show how to cope.

They are all different and they are all unique.
And to our heart and mind they should all speak.
And like opening up a beautiful present,
I hope they should make us all feel pleasant.
