‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to his cat.

‘’I'm not too sure’’, said Kitty. 

‘’It could be this way, or it could be that.’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to his dog.

He said ‘’I’m probably not the best to ask,

Love for me is a dead horse flogged.’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to the sheep.

‘’Don’t ask us,’’ said the Ewes, ‘’considering

Love is a syringe, elbow deep.’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to the cows.

‘’Not us, we’re the same as the sheep,

Slimey hands, seman gun, and unaroused.’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to the pig,

‘’Truly, if it’s not in my food trough

Or my wet muddy mud, then, I couldn’t give a fig.’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to his horse.

‘’Not me, Farmer Jones, I have no clue,

Neither where it is, nor its chosen course’’

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to the duck.

Realising his error in asking them questions,

Because the ducks couldn’t give a cluck.

 

‘’Do you know where love lies?’’

Said the farmer to his wife.

‘’Of course, I know where love lies,

For you are the love of my life.’’

 

‘’I’ve always known where love lies,

I've known right from the start.

After many years of being together,

Love lies tenderly inside our hearts.’’
