February 2024 Collage Poem: Strange Notes

entry picture

Proud cufflinks punch drunken bees

fires of furniture at number 92

a sword of death a copper kettle

tick tock tick tock and the

glory of untamed flowers

who love to dance.

United in flames, the music bringing you

together, footnotes in history

Winnie the Pooh is still dancing

motes of morning light on the edge

of a life show doilies and discounted cakes

eleven lyrical apostles suspended by paint

And Pooh dances to Northern Soul, as God

makes notes in the footnotes of a poem.

Slipping into the meditation of Northern Soul

God speaks as in a whirlwind.

Everything is hidden waiting to be revealed

and here is an end to my story lost in the rhythm

because I have to dance

Ghost writer typewriter
Sadness life lost
Love dancing letters
Define dream lovers
Religious story told
Honey all gone
Hungry homeless bear
Perfect pictures explain
Crumpled note written.

He was dancing to a story told by Bob who came along with a religious take on this popular children's tale Greg.

Glad to hear Winnie the Pooh is still dancing, whether to Northern Soul, or whatever! Thank you, John and Stockport Write Out Loud, for yet another intriguing collage poem.
