The Living Can Be Selfish

I walked into the room...I felt the chill.

I saw your peaceful face...I see it still.

For the very last time, I held your hand.

God had his Angel, just as he planned.

A pain free, rested Mum, I saw that day.

But the living can be selfish, I must say.

And of that selfishness, I'm a guilty son.

Miss you so much...sorry for that Mum.

Believe me Mum, I'm doing all that I can.

But failing badly is my 'stay strong' plan.
