It's not my freedom I bartered,
It's my self-respect and self-esteem.
I do care to preserve and keep,
Instead of letting it be slaughtered.
By people who gaslight and insult.

Gaslighting has its pros and cons,
With its twisted ways it brings out the worst,
In the person being gaslighted,
But it also exposes the one who gaslights,
Their character, mindset, and torturous behavior,
Revealing the depths of their troubled mind.

If you know what lies within someone's mind,
You indirectly expose the level of your own.
Let bygones be bygones and move on,
Those who test others' intentions,
Often have trust issues and lack empathy,
Perhaps a result of their upbringing,
Or a desperate need for self-preservation,
But harassing others is no noble deed.

Move on and test those who are far superior,
They will provide services to enhance your career,
Making more money than you could imagine,
Holding a position you were destined for.

Go and let go, that's the only solution,
After enduring ages of torture on eggshells,
No one is foolish enough to return,
To the arms that caused them such hell.
Your words and actions contradict each other,
You say things you never meant,
And always do things you promised you wouldn't.
