Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

June.

I got lost in June

Submerging myself in song lyrics

And hiding behind cigarette smoke

A sadness swept over me

One like I'd never known

I loathed the universe for playing unfair

Angry tension devoured my inner thoughts and thus I discovered such a thing as writers block.

When the pen no longer fit my hand I gripped what was left of the sunset and refueled my soul.

Unable to find satisfaction, I closed my eyes

Falling asleep

Waking up sometime mid July.

◄ Yesterday must go.

Keep Pouring. ►

"I gripped what was left of the sunset and refuelled my soul." So good Jordyn. Enjoyed this one and glad you made it through to the other side.
