A quiet moment in the garden
where a shady spot can be found 
The heat of the day now subsiding 
there is peace and calm all around 

The wild birds flutter in and out 
their chatter carries on the light breeze 
Accompanied by the background sound 
of the gentle rustling of leaves 

A perfect end to a perfect day 
as we celebrated my Dads birthday 
Eighty years and still going strong 
for many more to come we hope and pray
