LOVE LOST TO LUST

The love in my life was all lost to lust

In my monogamy my partners could not trust

Being faithful to just one I could not adjust

Exploring my bi-sexuality was a must

Sharing this secret with my wives was a bust

They were angry and hurt and filled with disgust

I need my man to be all man

One of them did say

As a couple we have a commitment

And with the same sex you should not play

That is just sex I said in dread

You are the love of my life

"But I cannot share you with another man"

"I will not be your wife"

So,  just like that our relationship turned to dust

She would not accept me as I am

Another friendship gone

Love Lost to Lust

A poem which is forthright and honest dealing with the complexities of human relationships and sexuality. Now it is a topical subject whereas in the past it lay hidden under the carpet of propriety which bred nothing but frustration, infidelity and disappointment. I enjoyed the quality and style of rhyming but above all I salute the integrity of the author

Thank you for this
