Unbeaten Paths

A road that strays

from beaten path

forest of trees

a sea of grass

down a side road

top of a pass

oh wilderness

how long will it last

the mining of coal

the oil and gas

the water scant

as land is fracked

tear up the earth

souls left aghast

hope there remain

unbeaten paths.

A poem with a good and clear warning of the damage we are doing daily to the environment. We are custodians of the planet not sent here to plunder and destroy it.

A good poem and thank you

Keith
