Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

'I'm fine'

There is a river that runs through me

But I can’t see its colours shine so brightly

I keep them all so confidential

And all of the breakdowns so existential

‘Going mental’, the mind’s so fragile

Can’t it be easy like it was when we were kids?

You grow up, some days stare into the abyss

But there is nothing like true happiness

You must hold on to happiness

When your friends are always there for you

You ask yourself without them ‘what would you do?’

You hope you’re able to give something back

We focus way too much in things we lack

“I washed my hair today”

“You’re my hero!”

There’s always something pulling you up from ground zero

Day by day, one step at a time

It will all work out fine

Trust me, it’ll be better than fine.

You captured the quality of strength so beautifully ? yes washing your hair when you physically have no motivation to breath is STRENGTH in its self. Thank you kindly for sharing x
