Moonglade

So distracted by the world

It’s impossible to hear your voice

Emptiness fills my chest

I’m hollow

Without your wisdom my heart has grown cold

Now take what is left of me

And spread my remains across the ocean

Let the waves pull me under

To be absorbed by the wrath of your nature

Salt stings the wounds that I carry within

Wash clean the wicked from my skin

I know I deserve to be buried beneath the sand

As I resurface

Give me back the moon

Allow it to reflect over the raging waters

So I may find hope once again

Calm are the waves under it’s pale light

It’s as if the water responds to such beauty

My fears are less when I set my gaze upon the sky

Another night I’ve overcome

I find it gets easier under the moon.
