I see you flowering her

the way you once did me.

Playing virtual footsies,

oozing lyrical chemistry.

Move on they say,

look the other way.

And so it shall be,

my focus is on me.

Sowing wildflower seeds,

shining in the rain,

dancing through the pain,

singing in a field of weeds.

Fortunately John, the sad moments pass, thanks especially to poetry and music. I can always count on you to educate me... I looked up (and purchased) the book you referenced. It’s #1 in Spanish poetry!

Sad. So sad Cathy.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

I agree Nicola. I want to leave the past, but the past doesn’t want to leave me. It lingers in my memory looking for resolution and meaning. Perhaps the solution is as simple as Paul suggests, a change of seasons.

Singing in a field of weeds, I'm doing the same right now.... There's only one way and that's to ignore the calls of jealousy envy and the past, the past is the past leave it there.
