Remedy

Warm Evening
Cold bed
Gentle touch
Disappears.
All alone
In the dark
My heart
Aches.
Shadows mock
The coward
Inside me
Silence.
Falling fast
But not asleep
I'm feeling
Torn.
Empty space
To my right
You left me
Lonely.
Tears drop slow
Salty stains
Caress the silky
Pillowcase.
Wrinkled sheets
Tangle me
Deeper into
Despair.
Empty heart
Crowded mind
Fill the void
Inside.
Bitter taste
Sour tongue
He'll never resemble
You.
Moving on
To forget
Lies I've told
Myself.
Broken heart
His flesh bandages
My scars
Temporarily
Longing for you
I ran
With foolishness
Desperation.
A remedy I found
Don't come back
Three's a crowd
Your space
Occupied by a
Stranger

Oh! Deepest of Joys... and Deepest of Pains.

-J. This is one of the most soulful pieces of poetry I have seen in many a day.

Heartfelt, icy cold, and so warming to read.
Holding you in my thoughts.

The queen of poets.

Desperation, try not to let them bother you, from a wise old bird x
