RIP Poppy

My house is so full of empty spaces

where you used to eat, sleep and be

My days are now full of silence

because you are not here with me

My thoughts are full of worry

was it too soon to say goodbye

My eyes are still full of tears

I hope you didn't see me cry

My body is full of loneliness

you were my companion to the end

My memory is full of good times

shared with this womans best friend

My heart is so full of gratitude

for fourteen years with the best

My prayers are full of wishes

that you are now at peace and rest

You filled my life with happiness

joy and laughter from the very start

So thankful of the times we shared

Always and forever in my heart

Sometimes when we wonder if people read our stuff

and wonder should we continue, or is enough, enough.

I almost missed this poem, and that would have a shame

The love you have Poppy always will remain.

Blessings
