Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival

entry picture

Today sees the start of the annual literary festival in Stratford-upon-Avon. Running until Monday, 3rd May, this year’s festival promises a feast of author events, workshops, exhibitions, discussions, and events especially designed for children and young people.

Highlights include An Evening with Jack Dee, afternoon tea with Wendy Cope, and a panel discussion with Jonathan Miller C.B.E. and Charles Dance O.B.E., sadly the tickets for An Evening with Felix Denis are all sold out.

Throughout the festival there will be an exhibition of the work of veteran BBC photographer Willoughby ‘Gus’ Gullachsen at the Civic Hall. His images of Stratford, taken over the last 20 years, will be displayed alongside recent images taken by students of Stratford College and Welcombe Hills School, and commissioned by the Festival.

Tickets for all events are going fast, but you can buy them at the Civic Hall Box Office on 01789 207100 or book online at www.civichall.co.uk

And you can download a full programme of the week’s events at:
