Aly

Biography

Aly noun | ah-lee : a 24 year-old woman made out of poetry, art, and architecture. She likes the smell of old books and the idea of being not what people expect her to be. Note: Some of her works are under her pseudonym Aly Bone and her name Marie Alyza.

Samples

Here I am, a body rising from its graveyard, a soul coming back from the dead. “I am not a haunted house,” I tell myself as I collect the dust and the spiderwebs in every corner of my home. I remove all the things I no longer need, and I have realized that it was me who had abandoned this place. Not him, not them. Here I am, repainting the walls of my old home and planting seeds where my flowers can grow. The place is almost empty, but there’s a room now for change. Here I am, covered with dust and paint. I guess this is what it feels like to be okay again. Maybe this is life after death. - Aly, Under Construction
