despite you
it made me think of youÂ
hearing a laugh that sounds awfully too familiarÂ
the smells of deep cologne and worn out leatherÂ
making sure you walk in at just the right momentÂ
as not to disturb the slumber of the beastÂ
cold sheets and pillowtalk
excuse after excuse
i always think of youÂ

early october
melancholic solitudeÂ
the faint whispers coming from the cracksÂ
walking with your head down during the early autumn monthsÂ
when the breeze hits just rightÂ
and there was something here onceÂ
basking under the warm sunÂ
for what felt like a long awaited hugÂ
gripping your hands that felt much larger in comparisonÂ
i yearn and search but i cannot find what i'm looking forÂ
