Time to Rhyme and Say Hello

I looked at my computer and saw your name at the top,

Write Out Loud, and I had to stop.

It has been a while...since last I wrote,

I thought I would stop, and blog a note.

The clocks are are all chiming,

While I do my best at rhyming.

I have not really got much to say...

So, I guess I'll be  on my way.

Hello, and goodbye... I hope you all have a great day!

The Granddaughter Plays

Today as my Granddaughter plays..

I fall into the simple haze

Childhood memories of long lost Daze

Feelings I had forgotton as I grew into age

How I sometimes miss that childhood haze.

Billowing curtains and breezes gone by,

I feel the beauty of my own childhood, minds' eye

Childhood haze, really never goes bye.

VOTAW (MY Friend)

Flowers so bright, trees so green

enticing my sight as if never before seen.

Blue is the sky, that towers above

looking down on me smiling with love.

Smelling the grass cut in the Spring

free flying birds with no weight on their wings.

Remembering my friend with sweetness and song

knowing between us it can't go wrong.

Herbal Tea (For Mr. Hill)

Hill was his name and he made me think, herbal tea must be his drink.

Excellent! is what I thought, when I accepted the challenge for which I knew not.

Ran to the grocery and bought the herbal tea, drank it up and said wow-wee!

Blackcurrant and Acai berry were the flavors of which he wrote, left to me in a short note.

All flavors interesting and deliciously so, which one was better?  I...

Playing

Playing with the words to make a rhyme that is true

Forgiveness is what poetry gives to you

Writing is structure hard and tight

Poetry is making the words feel right

I love poetry because I can rattle on

Not knowing the words until I sing the song

Like birds that flutter into the sky

The words float in my mind's eye

Capture is the word to describe

The feeling that has ...

Pure

Beautiful

    Delicate

        Pure as white

I saw your silhouette in the trees that night

    Hidden

        In plain sight

Eyes that don't see what is right before them

Due to beliefs incurred before them

Blindness is your camouflage as I can only recall... A possible... Mirage.

Those who can see, the infection incurs

All the punishments that come with Words

You ...

Coffee

Carmel colors that quench my thirst

Only, for you are my morning

First, I cannot imagine waking up

For the day without your warm

Essence to show me the way

Excellence is all you portray, coffee.

I See the Path

It is dark; I am at the fork in the road

It is hard to see which way to go

The storm is closing in and the sky is dark

I cannot see there is no light

Do I go left or do I go right

Help me see the path (I pray)

A bright light, a blinding flash

At last, at last I see the path

Now I know which way to go

Such a Pretty Day

Gibberish is the word today

Glippy gloppy glue goop

Slung slang sling...just this way

To make a pretty picture

Or give me something to say

Smoky pop top

With spritzy spray

Backwards rocket pop

Looking pretty today

Jumbie jivey hicks pick

Right words to speak way

Gibberish is always...Such a pretty day

Introduction

I introduce to all today

In this forum and in this way.

My poetry that sits in a drawer

Written over time

Some from many years before.

I have so much more to write and will continue to introduce new

Blending the old to be reviewed.

Poems that speak and poems that sing.

You, read and listen to the bells that ring.

Some bells are for you and some not.

As long as they ri...
