Beneath the Armour: Reaching for True Strength

Silent we stand, silent we fall,

Hardwired not to let tears touch our cheek,

Soldiering through life, answering the call,

Strength in our hearts, yet feeling so weak.

 

Years unfurl, our vigor wanes,

Age reveals the struggle clear,

What once was sturdy, now pain remains,

In those twilight years, silent fear.

 

We laugh off hurt, a joke to many,
