Thanks Win for your comment on Delicate! ( http://www.writeoutloud.net/public/blogentry.php?blogentryid=22326#page_comment_77605 ) I don't think I like how each stanza ends with a full stop - it seems to ruin the flow a bit...

I'll have a look at it, and decide, but critical feedback is welcome.

Hey Win, thanks for commenting on The Changeling.

I wrote it to express my concerns and I'm glad to say that thanks to the feedback at performances, I've had them addressed and I do know that desire comes not only from hormonal rushes but also from what a person sees and feels :)

Forgot to say, drim is totally made-up. It came into my mind and felt /sounded so right I just couldn't replace it successfully. But in a way using a word like that is what Neg cap is all about. Wiki it for a decent definition. XX

Win, thanks for your comments. I think that "the other" sounds stronger than "another". I am proposing a complete turn around, a 180 degrees, not just another direction. Does that make sense, come across? That's the idea and rationale behind it anyway but if it works..? XX

Thanks Winston for commenting on "Black-Edged". It was a privilege to write as it came as quick as Joy says in her comment on the same poem. The only changes from the first write where exactly those Ray suggested. Sometimes it really is a magical thing to write. It was also from an old memory - my Grandad died in 1986. So strange to think that memory had lain there all that while and suddenly is communicated in this way. XXX

Hi Win! Thanks for kind comments on my Gazezzel (oops! I think I've just invented a new poetic form - just got up and my eyes aren't working yet!) my Gazelle Ghazal. No, I had no idea that the dying cries of the gazelle had anything to do with ghazals. Nice touch that my gazelle lived and triumphed then! I was going to try and have a "deer" type of word in every verse but I didn't think gnu or wildebeast sounded very poetic. Maybe I'll write agnuther ghazal! xx

Thank you for commenting on Beyond the Garden #5. The first instance I ever came across of gender morphing was Orlando in Virginia Woolf, though it happened a great deal slower there. There must be lots more examples. "There is nothing new under the sun".

Hi Win;

Cheers for the comments on the poem on 'Before the Curtains Open'.

Must admit this ended up been one of those poems, I must admit that started off that started in one direction and ended up in totally another if that makes sense, but it is a snapshot really of a recent memory.

But glad you like it and I am pleased you think it is one of my best. I will defo keep my eyes open for a suitable competition, or if not it'll appear in my next collection - lol.

Cheers – A

Jesus unplugged - well done Win.
- with quite a lot of mine, people ask "what's it all about?"
& a difficult one to answer in absolutely every case, as we have everything from rhyming, blank, lyrical, demotic, narrative, obscure, florid, etc etc and every mix inbetween. You might as well ask the same question of Damien Hirst re a shark in formalin ! :)

Hi Win,
If you copy and paste a youtube url, e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0e4ZqxJSnM&feature=related
into your text when you are creating a blog, it will automatically turn into an embedded video
'My friend comes from Manchester' was filmed in Blackpool - we did about 3/4 poems and they use 2/3 of them. At one stage we were messing about on the beach with the crew and somehow got some sand into an incredibly expensive camera lens :(
