Hi Isobel, thank you so much for your kind comments on "Empty". I have written a few that started off in free verse, and then they ended up rhyming here and there. May have another go at it soon! Thanks again. x

"passengers" - Yes, well spotted, that's dear ole Gordon & Yes, also - a great description of his "managing" the economy :)
you win a biscuit of your choice - maybe a fig roll? or a kitkat?
BTW - do you know the diffrunce between a northern lass and a kitkat??
Yep - you only get four fingers in a kitkat

Good Evening Isobel
Thank you so much for your well meant Mmmmm...and implied 'Bang'
yes I must admit to owning succulent lips... however the image is sadly not mine but having said that they are not my first choice of colour...it would play havoc with my high lights.
Once again so many thanks for your comments.

Didn't make the Tudor as our youngest daughter Sally is embarking on a round the world trip. They brought a van load of stuff to our house on Thursday.
Emotional times but exciting too.
To compensate I went to Hebden Bridge on Friday to the Jammin with Jefforama thing. Good mix of music and poems. Should be back at Tudor next time.

Hi,
Thanks for reading and commenting on 'Bite the Bullet'.
Sexy, purry voice? ... usually the only time my voice sounds sexy and purry is when I also have a drippy nose, a sore throat ... and I'd rather have a rub with Vicks than a sexual encounter! ;)

Will you kindly update me on 'bite the bullet' theme suggested by Dave? I'm out of touch. I did enjoy Pandora's Box so much, both to write, and to read so many diverse ideas.

Hi Isobel, I've lost your moby nnumber (if I ever had it) but I particularly want to make you aware that we have changed most things about our LIverpool poetry night - name, dates, venue, and we've dropped the monthly themes.
The LIVER Bards, as the sessions are now called, take place on first Tuesday of each month in the performance space at the very beautiful Shipping Forecast bar, Slater St, city centre, L1 4BW, starting 8pm.
It's a straightforward open-mic with poems of humorous, philosphical, political and spiritual content particularly encouraged.
The first of the new-style nights is tomorrow Tue 7 Sept, starting 8pm. The postal code for the Shipping Forecast is L1 4BW.

No, my youngest is moving out, as a student, leaving myself and David. I will miss the noise of "children." I took a children's poetry show up to the Edinburgh Fringe for 8 nights with Jenny and her friend, Grace, performing. It was all, very exciting.

Hi - bullet - many thanks for the comments. I went once many yrs ago when me & my friend were camping nearby. Having biked all day, I really didn't want to ride the 7-8 miles back into town, but had my arm twisted. It was totally unreal - at 8pm ALL the traffic stopped, Everyone stood still & it was absolutely silent, then he played. If I ever hear the last post or reveille now, I cant help blubbing, because they were paying tribute to us - the Brits - in a city centre in another country, and they do the exact same thing every night. I dont think anyone could not be moved by it. Thanks. B

(you've got wood)- No Isobel - I think you got it just right - women ARE far more mental (at least most of those I've met) :)
I too saw many horrendous sights going up those bus steps - obese 60+ yr olds in sussies is enough to put you off for life - well, nearly. PS did you listen to the vid ? - it's worth it :)

Oh, you are such a lovely. I will, of course carry on beating myself up for it, it's as natural as breathing, BUT, me and one of my older sisters last night, and me and my younger sister earlier today spoke about this exact thing. You can't put a true value on big families can you, teaches you stuff you don't know you've learnt till you need it.
Thanks Isobel

Hi Isobel, It was good to see you the other night and hear more of your work, I especially like your use of song, it has inspired me! Thanks for your kind comments on the discussion page, I've just seen them. From my small experience at slams, I agree with you - serious is definitely the way to go or maybe mix them up a bit - one serious, one funny each round! Hope to see soon you when I am next across your way. Take care, Stevex

Hi Isobel. Thanks for the comments on my Incubus. I read it out to myself without the word "loneliness", but I didn't feel the implication of loneliness was obvious enough. Without that word the poem could be read as a fear of sex. (As if!)

Thank you so much for your comments on Persephone's Creek, that's exactly what I wanted the shoes to represent :) They were the starting point for my poem actually, it only got the title and mythological theme later.
I love Upong the Quality of love by the way, it flows so smoothly and reads so beautifully. You're a very talented poet xxx

Thank you Isobel,
I shall remind you about my alpha male requirements when next we meet. Yes I miss Augusta and would very much like her to re-visit WOL... she really wasn't an echo of Male fantasy... she tried to be a proper girl ... she certainly not under the patio and I have no doubt she will apear from time to time...
Once again many thanks for your great comment as usual.

Hi Isobel,
Thanks for your praise, i agree that porm is a little too close to porn to conjure much else from, but in my mind coniphony came to me as almost a silent cacaphony. Does that make sense? I can't seem to make it rude, even though i can be rather smutty! x

Hi Isobel; - glad you like my 'bite the bullet' - has took a few drafts and weeks to get to the bottom of this piece.. at one point - it nearly became two poems (i am sure you can work out which bits for yourself) but pleased you like it! (do have a few lil edits I want to make to it still but wanted to get it on here then emailed to Dave tonight) x
