Hi Ann. Was your poetic guide Daljit Nagra, who wrote Look! We are Coming to Dover? I'm a great admirer. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick yet again, and it was a different Daljit? Sounds like a good course, anyway

Thanks for your comments on my poems - you are such a great supporter and reader of poetry on here - WOL is lucky to have you. Both the poems were fast writes - I have to be feeling angry or miserable to write like that so thankfully, I don't do many. Normally I agonise over poetry and there is tons of stuff I don't post. Good to see you at Salford - hope to have more time to chat next time - there's always too much poetry at these things LOL x

Hi - I just could not find any poems in the others - they were still almost unbelievable for me & I wrote at the time, of one of them, that it actually seemed to be more real than real life & that one is really capable of logical thought processes within a dream - just like in real life, only here you can do whatever you like. That was the tragedy of this dream - that I could have asked any question & been given the answer (hence the title) but I couldn't think of a single thing to ask - what a waste. all the best. B

Hi Dave, thank you for your comments on "Being a Veggie". It's ages since I tried soya beans, and yes, they didn't do much good for me neither! I see that Cynthia thinks you should add a verse from your own perspective, and we could make it a WOL community effort. Sounds good to me, ball in your court maybe? Thanks Dave, Warm regards, Lynn

Hi Cynthia, thank you for your comments on "Being a Veggie". When I wrote it I kept adding bits, to make all the points I wanted to, and then ended up wondering if it was too long! I agree it would be good to open it for discussion though, with others adding their twopennorth. Thanks again Cynthia. x

Hi - "the guy with all the answers" - Thanks for the v kind comments. This is an amalgam of 2 lucid dreams I had (my previous poem was the first) - although I had been trying for years, they came out of the blue. I've only ever had 5 or 6 in total. I wrote them all down, but I dont think the others have much poetic potential. all the best. B

Hi Greg I thought you had disappeared! Glad you like Chemo. It's about my father-in-law. He is a bit of a character. I showed him the poem yesterday and said I'd make him famous by putting it on the net. I'll have to get it taken somewhere so that he can have a properly printed copy. I'll look at your new posting when I get a minute to read it properly.

Oh, you are such a lovely. I will, of course carry on beating myself up for it, it's as natural as breathing, BUT, me and one of my older sisters last night, and me and my younger sister earlier today spoke about this exact thing. You can't put a true value on big families can you, teaches you stuff you don't know you've learnt till you need it.

Been thinking about Jelly Babies and the comment you left on my profile. I don't think we should beat ourselves up too much about the things we don't do. Our gift to them is their siblings. That's how they learn to share, stand up for themselves, understand and accept they are not the centre of the universe - great lessons for later life - I don't think they need jam on it... xx

The poem is purposefully evocative and endeavours to cross the state of being mentally ‘lost’ and ‘abandoned’ and also sewing to that the sense of feeling to that part of a dream that cannot be quite brought to mind in the morning but is remembered in brief coloured moments that tantalise and flash .past your ‘minds eye’ for the briefest of moments, never to return.

Cynthia - thank you for your critique You are so right….

I edit and edit and edit again and whilst I encourage all to do this…

I must sometimes get it down and out to be critiqued or it would be put away and never see the light of day, so many of my poems sleep in closed files neatly marked ‘Works in Progress’.

Once again many thanks
Augusta xx.

Thanks for the comment on Jelly Babies :)
Bramble jelly is dead easy, the recipe is pimps, just berries (I used about 3 lbs)normal sugar and the juice of 2 lemons, it did involve some yakky straining through a sieve though to get rid of pips and the odd caterpillar :)
