Bienvenue à WOL!
If I may... I love your poem 'I saw your pain'
It is nicely written with a lot of emotion,
however if you dropped the last line completely it would have so much more of an impact because the title reflects your feelings as does the poem itself... : )

Hi John,
thanks for your comment on 'Anemone.'
Perhaps the reason you liked it is because it's unassuming with a delicate approach towards the changing landscape. A kind of gentle acceptance of growing up. It's based on a park i played in as a child where i still walk through. It always evokes a lovely memory even though some of the changes weren't welcome, at least it is still there for me and future generations too. :-) nostalgia. You just can't beat it.

Hi Bernard,
Thanks for your comments on 'Requiem' - glad you liked it. Sorry you didn't like the inclusion of the latin bit (wasn't a complete verse - just a couple of lines that felt relevant to me).
Thanks for reading anyway.

I am very interested in your biography and esp. the collaborative work you do. I have started some collaborative work but only for the page, not performance ( yet!) and it is not easy.

Thanks for the comment on 'Her Eyes Are Wild' - the collaboration element is based on the link and shift of renga practice but also linked to Wordsworth - I find myself walking with Wordsworth more and more these days.

Hi Jeff,
just want to say it was lovely to see you again last night and as usual you did a great job as compere. You always make everyone feel welcome and appreciated for their efforts, and i especially appreciate that, being a woman who walks in alone looking around for a friendly face.
I like your lighthouse poem by the way. It reminds me a little of how i feel sometimes.

further to our chat I was wondering if you could kindly take a look at a short story I am writing - it is from a maleperspective and subject close to my heart so finding it very difficult. Need some honest criticism to develop it. Let me know thanks

Hi Andy,
thanks for your comment on my latest offering 'the one which nearly got away.'
I see where you're coming from with the first line but will keep it in for performance purposes because of the intention within its contents. Although it isn't a rant, the frustration with it in the beginning, leading to a compromise is part of the making up process in many relationships. :-)
You know me well enough to know that i like to present things as they are rather than beat around the bush. well, at least things the way i see them. ha ha.

Hi Sian,
thanks for your comment on my poem 'the one which nearly got away.'
I wrote it specifically for performance which is the reason it's quite different from some of my other postings which are ok for 'read arounds' but not so much if i decide i need to let off steam, so to speak. :-)
Hope you are well,

Francine,
Thank you for your lovely comment :0). I think you are right in your observation between the title and the last line in certain respects. It was included as a relationship of the witness being changed forever as a person, to be wearing that pain on his soul like a scar of shame for the lord to see. I may edit a little.... :0)
