Canaries Flights Suspended
Hundreds of Canaries
have been grounded by
extreme sand storms in the Atlantic.
the Canaries cannot fly
in wind speeds over 50 MPH
so most of the Canaries are
just sitting on the Tarmac
looking yellow and perplexed
It may be days before
they are given permission
to take off
In the meantime
talk about a mess on the runway
this is what they mean by
the Yellow Peril!

was an actual Headline in the news.
Of course they were talking about the Canary Islands
but the Headline was confusing
and Amusing
and hence this silly poem.
