Dreams

Dreams space

Take me away

Lift me away

Far from this place

Sleep womb

Vanquish my fears

Cradle me dear

Spare me from doom

Scenescapes

Show me a world

Give me a world

That I can face

High-noon miracle

Vigilante’s tale

Visions regale

An epic spectacle

Mask the sun

Bury the basement light

Tunnel down to the warm

Superhighways of secrets

Graveyards in lingering dusk

Hidden hatch leading below

Cold-war bunker city

Now entrusted to the children

UFOs flash amongst the stars

Disappearing into an abandoned mine

Supernatural scrutiny

And did I past their test?

Romantic escapades

Passionately embraced by love

My touch welcomed with delight

A warmer peace I’ve never known

Awaken now

Sleep waits until summoned

Take solace in its sure return

For waking walking will happen only once

Amazing poem Jake. Makes me not want to wake, but instead get lost in your dreamscape!

Jake,

What an incredible poem. You capture well the erratic nature of sleep and the world of dreams. Each line comes off the page like a bullet and each one worthy of study. I particularly like the line "Tunnel down to the warm Superhighways of secrets".

Thank you for this

keith
