Hopes and Fears

Hopes and fears for the coming year

At a time when we will all be divorced

from the European Union of course

Will things really change, with much less pain?

Or are we set for a bumpy ride against a roaring tide, of situations we can’t control?

A need to be braver, stubborn and bold?

With the benefit of hindsight and 20/20 vision

will the year ahead bring better decisions?

Like who we listen to and then clearing out

things and people we no longer care about

If visual acuity is the clarity of our eyesight

Will a new year bring discernment and insight?

Seeing things in a different way, no more feelings that it’s ‘Groundhog Day’, or another catastrophe on a dog day afternoon, when normality can never come too soon

Hopes and aspirations, now instead of fear

So welcome to my world and Happy New Year!
