Wish You Were Here

entry picture

Wish you were here,
to break down all the differences,
to shake down all the borders,
to melt down all the distance,
to connect all the figures
in the right place.
What else could, what else could confront us?
In the same way we breath,
in the same way we cry,
wish you were here,
tonight when the whole world is empty
and there is no one left to die.

Wish you were here,
to create all the memories,
to drain all the sounds,
to cut down all the bad roots
and bury them underground
in the same place.
What else should, what else should distract us?
In the same way we hope,
in the same way we fall,
wish you were here
tonight when the night protects its fears,
for now is us and nevermore.
