Two of Swords – Balance – a sense of being Immobilised, blindfolded and impasse.

Interpretation: The seeker is in a crisis and cannot see which path they should choose. Should you follow either your head or your head but you are feeling too immobilized that with the blindfold on you cannot see your way through. The card shows that you are unable to let go of what is in your headspace by the swords you are holding onto so tightly in your hand. There is a rushing of water and emotions all around you in which you are aware of but unable to make a hard decision that you know needs to be made. You are in a dangerous spot with possible problems ahead with a choice of the lesser of two evils. The seeker has the knowledge and the ability to balance the situation and make the best of it if only they put the swords down and take off the blindfold.

The seeker may be hiding from the issues or waiting for something to happen before you take action. You feel that you need to keep a tight rein on your emotions and may be using your intellectual defences to avoid looking at your feelings. This card tells you that you must take off the blindfold, let go of what you are holding onto and confront the issues as well as the raging emotions around you.

Reversed: the waiting is over. Perhaps you have made the hard decision or maybe circumstances have made them for you. Either way all you can do now is wait and see how things unfold. Strong emotions have come to the surface and the seeker can now deal with them. The stalemate is over and it is time to now move forward.

This card can also indicate that the seeker or someone known to the seeker may travel soon.
